Three open compartments, one piece of oiled bamboo, no glued seams to fail. It holds dish cloths, brushes and the small tools that otherwise end up loose in a drawer.
This is the item that started the household basics line. It is solid bamboo — not a bamboo veneer over composite board — sanded and finished with a food-safe oil rather than a lacquer, so the finish can be refreshed with more oil years from now instead of chipping and needing to be replaced.
Three compartments run the length of the caddy: one wide bay for a stack of folded cloths, and two narrower bays sized for brushes, scrapers or a bottle of dish soap. Nothing about it is adjustable — this is a fixed-format caddy, and if a customer needs dividers that move, we point them at the felt drawer dividers instead, which are built for exactly that.

Who this suits, and who it doesn't
It suits a kitchen counter, a bathroom vanity or a laundry shelf where a handful of small tools need to stand upright instead of sliding around in a drawer. It suits anyone who wants one solid object rather than a set of stacking plastic trays.
It does not suit a wet environment. Bamboo takes an oil finish well, but it is not a waterproof material, and we tell callers that directly rather than let them find out after the fact. If you need something to sit in a shower or beside a sink that gets splashed constantly, the ceramic soap dish in Home Essentials is the better fit for that specific spot.
Call before four on a weekday and, stock allowing, the caddy ships from Austin the same day. After four, it goes out the next business morning.
